Parents’ Weekend and Ring Ceremony at The Citadel

Valor and Faith traveled to Charleston, South Carolina, for Parents’ Weekend at The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, from 9 to 11 October 2026. Our mission to serve the military community reaches every stage of the journey, from the young men and women preparing to serve to the veterans who have carried the uniform for decades. On Friday, the Class of 2027 marched to Summerall Chapel to receive their class rings, then walked through the ring with their families that evening in McAlister Field House. On Saturday, the freshman class received their collar devices, the Corps passed in review at the Dress Parade, and the cadets marched to Johnson Hagood Stadium to face East Tennessee State. Alongside cadets and families we know personally, we met veterans who wear The Citadel ring, and they shared their journeys and the legacy they carry from the Corps into service and beyond. The weekend closed on Sunday in Summerall Chapel with the Blessing of the Rings. Valor and Faith stands with these cadets as they prepare to serve, and will stand with them after the uniform comes off.
