Honoring America. 1776 — 2026.

Our Mission

Our Mission

Outdoors. Together. For those who served.

Our Vision

Our Vision

Where every warrior finds their way.

Mission

What we do.

Valor and Faith is an outdoor and wellness organization for veterans, active duty military, reserve, National Guard, and first responders. We get warriors outside through expeditions, fellowship retreats, faith-rooted gatherings, and the annual pilgrimage. Our primary beneficiaries are the warriors themselves. Families are welcomed at family-inclusive gatherings.

Vision

What we build toward.

A future where no warrior returns from service into isolation. Where every veteran and first responder has a brotherhood, a place outside, and a path forward. Valor and Faith exists to build that future through outdoor experience, fellowship, and faith, standing as the premier outdoor and wellness organization for the men and women who served and the institutions that stand with them.

Our Values

What we carry into the work.

  • 01

    Service

Honoring those who served. In uniform, on the line, and in the years that follow. Every program we run starts and ends with the warrior in mind.

  • 02

    Outdoors

Time outside changes things. We believe the open country, the river, the ridge line, and the ranch heal what words alone cannot. Outdoor experience is not an amenity in our programming. It is the program.

  • 03

    Brotherhood

Warriors heal in the presence of warriors. We build experiences where those who served can find each other again, around the fire, on the trail, and on the water. No therapist's office can replace what brothers and sisters in arms restore in one another.

  • 04

    Faith

Grounded in faith-informed care. Faith carried many of those we serve through trials seen and unseen. We honor that foundation through fellowship, retreat, and the annual pilgrimage anchored to the Feast of Saint Michael.

  • 05

    Honor

Dignity for every warrior we serve. No veteran or first responder is reduced to their hardship, their diagnosis, or their darkest day. We meet warriors where they are and walk with them toward what's next.

  • 06

    Integrity

Doing what we said we would do. Every dollar accounted for. Every promise kept. Every warrior treated with the care their service earned.

Our Story

Built on a lineage of service.

Service forges bonds unlike any other. When the uniform comes off, those bonds often fade, and the isolation that follows can break a warrior who survived everything else. Valor and Faith exists to bring them back together in the places that restore them. Our work is practical and relational, rooted in a shared conviction that those who stood for us deserve more than gratitude. They deserve our action.

Valor and Faith was built by two brothers raised on service. Our grandfather served in World War II. Our father served in Vietnam. Two great-uncles gave everything in combat. Stephen-Michael Besinaiz served 28 years in Special Operations Forces and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. The organization carries those names forward and stands beside the men and women who carry similar ones today.

We exist because the debt we owe these communities cannot be paid once. It is paid in presence, over time. In the days spent outside together. In the conversations that only happen around the fire. In the quiet weight of a brotherhood that knows what the service cost. Valor and Faith is the work of being present for the warriors who served, and the work that continues long after the welcome home is over.
