Fellowship & Connection

Featured Program

Veteran Connection Programs

Getting veterans outside, together. Outdoor experiences, fellowship, and brotherhood events that reconnect warriors with one another.

Military service forges bonds unlike any other. When service ends, those bonds often fade, and the isolation that follows can be devastating. Valor and Faith exists to reconnect veterans with one another through intentional fellowship experiences, especially outdoors.

Our programs partner with outfitters, ranches, guide services, and outdoor organizations to send veterans on shared experiences that honor the brotherhood forged in service. Hunting, fishing, hiking, horsemanship, wilderness retreats, and faith-rooted outdoor gatherings create the space for warriors to reconnect with each other and with purpose.

We also support engagement at VFW posts and local veteran community infrastructure, and we host family-inclusive events that recognize service affects the whole household. Our programs extend to first responder communities as well, serving police, firefighters, and emergency medical personnel.

Eligibility
  • Active duty military, reserve, National Guard, veterans of all eras
  • Police, firefighters, and emergency medical personnel
  • Family members welcomed at family-inclusive events

First Responder Families

First Responder Family Support

Connection, fellowship, and recognition programs specifically for first responder families.

Police, firefighters, and emergency medical personnel face many of the same challenges as our military community: isolation, trauma, and the weight of service that many cannot fully understand. Valor and Faith extends its connection and support programs specifically to first responder families.

This includes outdoor fellowship events alongside military veterans, family-inclusive gatherings recognizing the sacrifice of loved ones, and peer support programs built around shared experience of service.

First responders are not an afterthought in our mission. They stand alongside military families as equal beneficiaries of everything we do.

Eligibility
  • Police officers (local, state, federal)
  • Firefighters (career and volunteer)
  • Emergency medical personnel
  • Family members of first responders

Faith-Informed Care

Spiritual Fellowship and Peer Support

Faith-rooted gatherings and peer support for veterans and first responders seeking fellowship and spiritual connection.

For many who have served, faith provides the foundation that carried them through trials seen and unseen. Valor and Faith creates space for veterans, first responders, and their families to gather in faith-rooted fellowship.

Our spiritual fellowship programs include retreats, small group gatherings, and faith-based outdoor experiences. Through partnership with the Archdiocese for the Military Services, we extend access to chaplaincy support and spiritual care for those who seek it.

These gatherings are not counseling or therapy. They are spaces where warriors meet warriors in the presence of faith, strengthening one another through shared belief and shared experience.

Eligibility
  • Active duty military, veterans, National Guard, reserve
  • Police, firefighters, emergency medical personnel
  • Family members welcomed at appropriate gatherings
How to Apply

Career Transition

Career Mentorship and Professional Guidance

Professional conversations and mentorship to help veterans navigate career transitions and opportunities.

Military service builds exceptional skills that translate to the civilian workforce, but the translation is not always obvious. Valor and Faith connects veterans with mentors and professional advisors who can offer career insights, introductions, and guidance during transition and career growth.

This is not formal counseling. It is peer-to-peer mentorship drawn from our network of former service members, business leaders, and professional contacts who understand the military experience and the civilian professional landscape.

Conversations are personalized and outcome-focused. Whether a veteran is transitioning out of service, considering a career change, or exploring entrepreneurship, we connect them with the right voice at the right time.

Eligibility
  • Active duty military transitioning out of service
  • Veterans of all eras seeking career development
  • First responders exploring career advancement or transition
How to Apply
Reach out through our contact form. We will schedule an introduction to an appropriate mentor based on the veteran's career goals and background. Contact us at programs@valorandfaith.org.

Direct Support

Emergency Financial Relief

One-time financial support for military families and first responders facing urgent, unexpected circumstances.

Life presents unexpected challenges that can strain even the most prepared family. Valor and Faith provides one-time emergency financial relief to military members, veterans, and first responders facing urgent needs outside their normal budget.

Support is offered on a case-by-case basis for situations such as unexpected medical costs, vehicle repairs needed to maintain employment, utility assistance during hardship, and other circumstances where a one-time intervention can restore stability.

This is not ongoing assistance. It is immediate relief during specific moments of need, delivered with dignity and without bureaucratic delay.

Eligibility
  • Active duty military, reserve, National Guard, veterans
  • Police, firefighters, and emergency medical personnel
  • Demonstrated urgent, one-time need
How to Apply
Submit a request through our contact form or reach out directly. Each request is reviewed individually with attention to the specific circumstances. Contact us at programs@valorandfaith.org.
